Horse Sales Terms and Conditions

Reserves & Deposits

  • If you wish to purchase or reserve a horse from us, we require a deposit of 10% of the agreed sale price in cash. We will then take the horse off the market.
This policy is to prevent people confirming a purchase and then changing their minds at a later date. PLEASE NOTE; A deposit is valid for a maximum of 7 days (from trial of the horse to vet inspection, unless otherwise agreed). We have new buyers looking for horses at all times, therefore we cannot hold horses beyond this period of time. Horses must be vetted within 1 week of trial and collected within 10 days of trial.
  • The deposit is fully refundable in the unlikely event of the horse failing a vetting.

Vetting

  • All horses are fully open to vet. We can supply you with a list of local veterinary practices, or organise the vetting on your behalf.

Trying Horses

  • We encourage all buyers to try any horse they are interested in without obligation. We provide excellent facilities for doing so. This is to satisfy yourself that the horse you are buying is suitable for both the rider and the discipline required.

Returns

  • Once a horse passes its vetting, we regard it as sold and have no legal obligation to take the horse back. However, we do not want a customer to have a horse that doesn’t suit them, so we will always try to exchange a horse that proves to be unsuitable with one of equivalent value.
The horse must be returned within one month of the date of sale. No refunds are given.

Part Exchange

  • We may occasionally agree to a part exchange, but only in cases where the cash portion is 50% or more of the price.
